Here is a beautiful story from my lovely couple about their wedding day:
We fell in love with the quirky and quaint village of Port Sunlight after a few little day trips out there. When starting to look at wedding venues we came across the beautiful historic Hulme Hall by chance and loved its charm, character and vintage feel. We got married at the wonderful Christ Church in the village on a gorgeous summers day, it felt like a complete dream and we couldn’t have asked for more. Having all our friends and most of our family there to celebrate meant the world to us, as planning a wedding during covid was full of uncertainties!
After the ceremony we were extremely lucky to visit the amazing Lady Lever Art Gallery for some magical photos, taking in both our love for art and architecture. We rejoined with our guests at Hulme Hall for drinks after a little drive around the village in a beautiful vintage VW Beetle. The wedding breakfast followed with music from a live band and a disco in the evening, it was a dream that the restrictions had been lifted so we could all dance!
We planned the day and made as much of it as we could, using our creativity to make it extra personal. With some help from family and friends we did everything from making our own save the date cards and designing our own invitations to making our beautiful book table plan. My dress was the biggest dream of all (apart from marrying my prince!) I designed and made it myself, a complete labor of love for the most magical day!
Top Tip- Don’t worry about the small stuff, just enjoy every moment of being in the wedding bubble dream as the day really does go so fast!

The Groom - Suits from Moss Bro’s.
The Bridesmaids - Made by me! (little sewing hobby/ business- Butterquins)
The Venues- Port Sunlight Village, The Wirral – Christ Church, Lady Lever Art Gallery, Hulme Hall.
The Car - Warrens Vintage VW car hire.
The Décor - Vintage sourced books, glass jugs and jars for table decorations. Flowers from Liverpool Wholesale Flowers Ltd. Displays made by us and bouquets by a friend’s mum.
The Cake - Made by a friend’s mum and we painted our own peg people for the decoration!
The Entertainment - The Sonics Band (Amazing band from Liverpool!)
